2010 Pinot Grigio: $14
(Bronze Medal Winner)

Character: Crisp with good acidity and weight with a nose full of ripe peaches. Pleasant Pairings: Serve chilled with creamy sauces, shrimp, oysters, turkey, or veal.

2010 Sauvignon Blanc: $14
(Silver Medal Winner)

Character: Elegant and fresh with loads of ripe lime and tropical fruits. Pleasant Pairings: Serve chilled before dinner, with light meals, gourmet salads, grilled fish, fresh oysters, and Mediterranean foods.

2010 Vista del Lago: $13

Character: A blend of Vidal Blanc and Auxerrois this wine is a feast of orchard fruit aromas. Clean on the palate. Pleasant Pairings: Serve chilled, it’s a great sipper and pairs well with cheeses, light dishes or starters.

2010 Watercress Creek Chardonnay: $15
(made from fruit selected for this series)

Character: Unoaked with a combination of rich texture and high acidity. Lively citrus flavours and a graceful finish. Pleasant Pairings: Serve chilled, alone or with Camembert or Fontina D’Aosta. A must for creamy seafood dishes.

2010 Watercress Creek Viognier: $15
(made from fruit selected for this series)

Character: Exotic and fruity. Classic highly aromatic spring flowers and fruit nose. Dry, with a variety of nuances on the tongue and finish. Pleasant Pairings: Serve chilled alone or with spicy foods such as Thai cuisine.

2009 Gewurztraminer: $13

Character: Cool spice and a just a hint of sweetness give our Gewurztraminer lots of character, with a flowery nose and refreshing acidity in the finish. Pleasant Pairings: Rich food like pork or ham work well here, especially when served with a fruit chutney or aromatic spices like cinnamon, clove, ginger or curry.

2009 Lighthouse: $14

Character: A blend of Viognier and lightly oaked Chardonnay, this dry wine is well balanced and complex, carrying just a hint of citrus. Pleasant Pairings: Try Lighthouse with shrimp or lobster, especially if served with drawn butter, light mushroom dishes and creamy white sauces.

2009 Smith’s Vidal: $12

Character: Our off-dry Vidal is always a crowd pleaser! Lemon and pineapple flavours combined with well-balanced acidity make this wine a perfect choice for almost any food – or on it’s own. Pleasant Pairings: Smith’s works well with pastas, roast chicken, and almost any cheese. It’s hard to find a food that is not improved by the presence of this Vidal!

2009 Wilson’s Vidal: $12

Character: A Late Harvest style Vidal with a rich, creamy mouth feel and sweet peach and apricot flavours. Pleasant Pairings: Wilson’s is a perfect after dinner sip, and really tasty with pears, walnuts, and a plate of cheese – especially blue!

2008 Riesling: $13

Character: Our off-dry Riesling won a Bronze Medal at the Ontario Wine Awards. Slightly sweet with a fruity nose, the sugars in this white are balanced by a lively acidity. Pleasant Pairings: This off-dry Riesling works well as a foil to spicy heat in Indian or Thai dishes, especially those with a fruit component. It is also the ultimate match for lobster and crab in cream sauces.

2008 Viognier: $13

Character: (vee-own-yay) A wonderfully floral white from the Northern Rhone valley, this grape carries a creamy mouth feel with notes of honey and stone fruits. Pleasant Pairings: This is a great wine with food! Spicy – but not hot – flavours, like ginger, turmeric and cumin are good partners here, as are game meats such as goose, turkey, and duck.

2007 Riesling: $12

Character: Green apples and marmalade in the nose and limes in the finish – this dry white is vinted in the Alsace style and full of flavour. Pleasant Pairings: Lovely with roasted pork or veal scaloppini, an Asiago cheese sauce, or brunch-time quiche.
