2008 Ridge Rock Rose: $12
A Rose made in the traditional manner – red Chambourcin grapes rested on their skins for a short time after hand-picking, then pressed and fermented off the skins. Just slightly sweet, Ridge Rock is a brilliant cranberry colour and carried just a suggestion of cranberries and almonds on the palate. Pleasant Pairings: Poultry and pork dishes are enhanced by our rose, and it makes for a lovely lunch partner. Also a nice accompaniment to paté and French bread in the picnic basket.
2009 Nightshade: $13
Fruity and rich, the deep sweet flavour of black currant blended with crisp Vidal makes this the perfect patio sipper. Pleasant Pairings: Really good with liver paté, a plate of cheeses, or simply on its own!
2009 Three Belles: $12
A light fruit wine with intense cherry flavour, Three Belles is perfect chilled as an after dinner wine. Add crushed ice, fresh mint, and sparkling water for a summer spritzer. Pleasant Pairings: Very nice with a fruit platter of a bit of chocolate, or chocolate mousse desserts.
2008 Razzleberry: $13
Served well chilled on a summer day, this is our favourite patio wine. Locally grown apples and raspberries are blended to produce this light and refreshing wine. Pleasant Pairings: Great alone, or paired with a plate of cheeses, or even a berry-and-chocolate dessert.
